I was born November 17th 1979 in Oulu, Finland.

I met my wife in 2007. On July 7th 2010, I moved to her hometown: Brasov, Romania. We got married on July 19th 2011.

Upper secondary school: Karjasillan lukio (matriculation on May 30th 1998)
University of applied sciences: Oulu polytechnic, institute of technology, option of embedded systems (Bachelor degree of higher education received on October 3rd 2003).

I served in 1. communications company, in North-Finland communications batallion (1. VK, Pohjois-Suomen viestipataljoona), communications branch (Viesti / Tele / YVI1) for 180 days (06.07.1998 - 01.01.1999). Rank: communications man (viestimies).

During my school years years I was fortune when it came to summer jobs. I've been a cleaner, janitor's helper, construction worker etc. I've never been work-shy.

Work-wise, my first big break came in May 2002: I got a job in a software company: Atex Media Command. I have to admit that I had some family connections in the company, but I still believe that it wasn't the most prominent factor when it came down to hiring me.

The summer job ended in August, but since I noticed that working part time, while school was in progress, was doable, I continued working there from September 2002 onwards (I guess I did something right since they wanted me to stay). In April 2005 I got a permanent contract with Atex. No more half year fixed-term contracts! Unfortunately, after five good years at Atex, I was let go (and 20 others). My Atex contract ended 15.10.2007. I got a lot of praise from our Oulu office general manager and from my ex-coworkers, so the release had nothing with my work efforts. Due to upper management decisions, the area that I mostly worked in simply wouldn't be there anymore. You can read more about my software engineer skills from the ICT experience section.

Getting fired from Atex was probably the best thing at that point since I don'think I would have learned more there. And, a week after I got notice that I was to be let go, I signed a contract with Tieto (aka TietoEnator). And I started to work there from August 1 2007. Tieto was a good place to work: the work was challenging I learned new things and had good colleagues.

I started work at Gabriels Technology (Brasov, Romania) on August 1 2010. It is my first workplace in Brasov, Romania.

I've been collecting movies for a long time. I don't remember exactly when it started, but I guess 12 years-old isn't too far off. The size of the collection is approx. 1700 movies (dvd). Photos of the collection can be seen in the galleries
