Present: Elizabeth, Christine Winter, Emily, Bri, Terry, Ricky, Dusan, Tricia, Jasney, Christine Labriola

Pres. Report: Emily: Requested all P.O.s, will get the International Migration Review and AAA. Also Sociology Dictionary, Anthro Dictionary, Kate Turabian how to write research papers.

VP: not here

Treas: Ricky: we make good money for small groups, started with $700, used all but $50. Good use of money.

Secretary: Not here.

Elections:

Need VP, Secretary, GSA Rep = We don’t know who’s nominated because Connie’s not here.

Nominations:

VP: Bri

Vote: Majority in favor, Bri accepts position

Secretary: Jasney

Vote: Majority in favor, Jasney accepts

GSA Rep: Will open to a new student in the fall.

Colloquia

Meetings – (yes, if enough money)

Meet & Greet with profs? $150? for meet –n- greet. Get a room on campus for the meet –n-greet. Then have a social just for students at a bar somewhere. Food @ SAGSA meetings?

Workshops – More grant writing workshops! More thesis/dissertation writing workshops! Editing for people for whom English is not a first language. When you need editing, what is the rate, etc. How to get a committee, how to etc etc etc etc, Emily: The deparment is supposed to do that ... yadda yadda yadda yadda
