Meeting called to order at 12:29 pm.

Budget:
The Budget is at $645 
– 60 spent at Publix for picnic 
– 50 for frames already appropriated
– 60 for canvas for painting (motion seconded and approved)
= $475
 
Painting:
Discussion about money/fund for painting. $160 would get the 
staff to paint everything. Motion seconded and approved.
– $315 left
 
Environmental Forum:
Dr. Tardanico wants students to be involved with the Apr. 18 
Environmental forum. Anyone wanting to get involved should contact 
Christine Labriola. Should we spend money on refreshments for this forum? If we do, they may give us money for paint. $75 for us to sponsor it. Motion seconded and approved.

Other suggestions:
Motion moved not to subscribe to journals. Seconded and approved. Motion moved to buy books such as Chicago style manual, etc. Emily will ask for suggestions on titles. Discussion on money for couch, field work equipment, and April 1 colloquium. Motion moved to spend $100 on colloquium, to make a big deal for the “last colloqium of the year.” Motion seconded and passed.

Fall schedule:
Emily will collect a list of grad students wishes for fall classes to give to Dr. Mahler. Suggestions: Anthro theory, qualitative 
methods, society and technology, social deviance, race and gender course, GIS. Any other suggestions please send to Emily.
 
Elections:
We want to try to get new first years involved in the fall. Open board 
positions or postpone elections until December? First year rep positions? Kind of “trite”. We should plan meetings around 1st year schedule. Motion moved to hold off elections to December. Motion seconded and approved. Any officer who cannot continue with their duties in the fall should let us know as soon as possible.
