12:34 Update on workshops;

· Francisco is looking for a library representative to give the workshop on refworks and end note. Still aiming for the 26^th of September at 12:30

· Bri will contact the health center in order to find a possible group activity for the October workshop.

12:40 Update on the colloquia by Tekla:

· First colloquium is this Friday by Tricia

· A second colloquium has already been scheduled by Dr. Erazo, more info is on the way

12:45 Discussion on whether we should provide snacks and refreshments at the colloquia resulted in the decision of individuals providing snacks for the first colloquia (since it is too late to get a P.O. ). Later decisions will be made after we allocate a budget. Colloquia committee will coordinate volunteers.

1:04 Mario will set up the weekly updates through email, any information to be included should be sent to Mario or Bri.

1:06 Renee presented her idea to create a round table for Sociology/Anthropology grad students, she will email the students directly to invite them to the discussions

1:07 Student-faculty bonding techniques and ideas were discussed, we’ll keep ears open for an opportunity to mix and mingle

1:15 Renee reminded students to send her their bios and pictures in order to update the department’s website
